Met friends from CA for dinner. Really enjoyed the food. Service was good. A bit loud when local team scored in the NFL game on the big screen.

Atmosphere was perfect - calm and relaxed. I loved the train / Alamosa decor. It held my entire party's interest. My partner ordered the fish and chips - she declared it very yummy with excellent portion size. In fact, it was entree sized. My pulled pork sandwich rivaled any I have found in the South, and I am southern born and bred. Finally, the burger was excellent, the red potatoes divine. A side of BBQ sauce is a must - they make it in house. The next time you're in Alamosa, this needs to be a stop.

My experience was okay. I ordered the green chili pasta, it was so bland! I didn't taste much to it at all. Also, plan for the soda & water here to be terrible; always tastes flat and has a bad after taste. The environment is loud and dark as well. If you're looking for a good deal on kids meals, I'd try this place out as they provide a lot of food for a good price. Their homemade sodas are really good, if you're willing to pay $3 for a 16 oz soda.

Oh. My. Goodness. LOVED this place. The beer selection isn't huge but I'll take quality over quantity every time and there is a full bar as well as great brews. The food was FABULOUS and the pricing is on point with outstanding values, particularly in the "hoppy hour" specials. The spinach artichoke dip was just freaking amazing. I'm pretty into cooking myself and rarely do I find restaurant food that exceeds my expectations....most sincere compliments to the chef. Our waiter was also great, provided attentive, quick service without hovering. He made sure we got what we liked, liked what we got and totally enjoyed our visit. Love the space as well, very charming and quirky. If I were local, I would be a total barfly here.

Beer was awesome, with lots of limited release and seasonal brews. Great service. Food was good, but nothing great from what I had (Reuben). Atmosphere was ok, it was also a bit warmer than comfortable despite a nice cool 50-60 degree day when we visited.

Wonderful place to eat. Atmosphere is really warm and inviting. Both the host and server were fantastic. Server Kristjian really developed open communication with me in regards to the food and suggestions. Fantastic decision on the red wine vinegarette and chicken cordon. I would suggest this place to anyone looking for delicious food with top quality service!!!

Coming here can be hit or miss. There is no dedicated Host/Hostess, so if the waiters are busy you might have to wait awhile to be seated. Saw a few people get tired of waiting and leave. Check your food to make sure it is hot, this becomes an issue when they get busy. Otherwise, friendly staff and good food!!

We visited here last time we were passing through Alamosa. No problem getting a table and service was good. The in house made beer was good and the food was amazing. They go out of the way to source local food and support the Alamosa economy. For example all their sausage was made by a local butcher and was excellent. As with any downtown location, parking was a bit tricky but nothing to get too worried about.

Great beer, great atmosphere, great place to watch a game. But the steak. Yikes. I understand that some people enjoy the flavor of JUST cooked meat, but some salt and pepper would have done the ribeye wonders. I'll probably order it again and just tell them to give it a little spice action. Otherwise, I love this place.

We had a delicious dinner here The menu had enough options and the service was really great. Nice staff. I loved the vibe of the place and was impressed to find a nice place to eat after a long road trip from Denver.

Travelling through Alamosa, it was going to be a short night. Google Maps recommended San Luis Valley Brewing Company, and we were extremely pleased by what we found. First, Madi greeted us with a warm and friendly smile; she let us choose a table of our liking and did her best to take good care of us. I've found that brew places tend to have great beer and OK food, but it was the reverse at SLVBC. Everyone enjoyed their meal, and my brew was good, too.

The kitchen was backed up and we waited a while for our food. I ordered the Cajun Pasta and the andouille was overcooked. It was burnt and hard as a rock. I only ate half of the pasta and didn't even bother taking the other half with me. The only good thing I can say about this place is that our waitress wasn't rude. She was apologetic about the long wait time.

My wife and I really enjoyed our dinner here. While the beer was just OK, the food was great. I highly recommend the ribs. They are meaty and tender. The side salad is excellent. My wife is more of a dessert fan, and she was very happy with the brownie sundae.

Great place to kick back and eat pizza! Good selection of beers and top notch pepperoni pizza rolls.

Food was good, but the restaurant had only two tables and we did not get very good service, but she was nice.

Fun local experience! Two of us - we sat at the bar and each tried a beer. The bartender was really really nice and we enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere.

The pizza was excellent - we had a buffalo chicken style with BBQ after a long hike and it was perfect. Simple atmosphere, nice service!
