The recovery environment offered at this location seems to be the most effective in facilitating true recovery. There's a reason for everything that is done here, the staff and medical treatment team are motivated to truly improve patients for the longterm. The program is built on accountability and trust between the treatment team and fellow patients. Dr. Moran has built this program on a foundation of sound neuropsychology to alter behaviors with providing the right medicines with the right behavioral modifications. Patients who have attended other programs will attest to the increased effectiveness of this program vs. countless others.

South Florida is full of rehab centers that are corrupt at worst and inexperienced at best. Family Center for Recovery is a diamond in the rough. It is THE only facility in Florida owned and operated by a Psychiatrist who is Board Certified in Addiction Psychiatry and Addiction Medicine. Dr. Moran uses evidence-based medical expertise to treat complicated psychiatric and addiction illnesses for both adults and adolescents. His care is personalized, thorough, and life-saving. His medical team members are highly professional, responsive and personable. It is called "Family Center" because the entire family is involved in the patient's recovery process. You will never find another place like this. It has saved our 14-year-old son's life. Please don't risk sending your child (of any age) to one of the countless facilities in Florida that take advantage of your family's vulnerability during a difficult time. Mental illness and addiction are complicated brain diseases requiring expert care. Quick fixes do not help and may cost your child his or her life!

My son was taken in by this amazing facility just about 2 months ago. My son is a recovering addict and also suffers from schizophrenia. Dr. Moran and his staff saved my son's life. Though some centers are dual diagnosis, they were not willing to take in my son unless he was actively using drugs (which he wasn't). However, he was not taking his medication for the schizophrenia. Family Center for Recovery was. Dr. Moran is committed to treating his patients and educates the families also. We need psychiatrists like Dr. Moran to lead the way and hopefully other centers will be mirrored. I am so grateful to him and his staff.

Family Center for Recovery is truly a world class center. I had the incredible opportunity of rotating through this facility during my third year of medical school. I was so impressed with Dr. Moran, the entire treatment team and how collaboration between the medical team and therapy team worked to benefit each individual at FCFR. Evidence based protocols are in place and are very effective. The team is in constant communication at all hours keeping up with each patient in real time, the commitment to the residents is amazing.

I witnessed incredible success stories from multiple patients during the family weekend visit, and have never been more content about where my sister is. We have struggled for 15 years now with her in and out of psychiatric hospitals and other rehab programs. Last weekend.....she called this place Home. As tears rushed to my eyes....my heart and mind were put to ease. She is content, comfortable, and on a steady progression to recovery. I love her and miss her so much, but I am confident we couldn't have found a better doctor for her. Our whole family, whether we admit it or not, knew we might one day lose her, but now....that idea is extinct.

Family Center for Recovery is a dual treatment center like no other. I have no doubt they saved my grandson's life. He has been in and out of psychiatric hospitals and treatment centers between the ages of 14 and 18, and none were able to help him until we found Family Center for Recovery. Dr. Moran and his dedicated staff have a very unique, effective program. Not only do they use the most innovative methods in treatment of psychiatric illness and addiction, but they also offer a uniquely comprehensive educational and supportive program for the families. In no other facility have I seen a psychiatrist who takes such a personal, caring interest in each and every patient. I highly recommend this facility.

Dr. Moran and his staff saved my son's life. At 20 years old his schizophrenia was killing him. He was not taking his medication, self medicating and we had tried every avenue available. Our family was In disarray. Psychiatric disease is so difficult to treat and manage. Many doctors and hospitals are really not equipped to properly treat this deadly disease of the brain. With sheer dumb luck or maybe divine intervention we found The Family Center for Recovery. I know without a doubt my son was days away from death. He was suffering and in so much mental anguish you could see it physically changing him, killing him. I didn't even recognize my own son. I made one, just one phone call and they did the rest. It's only been a few months and we have already seen improvement, not only in my son but in our family. Dr. Moran and his staff treat not only the patient but the family as well. This is unheard of, you can't find this level of care anywhere else in the world. I can't say enough good things about FCFR! They are saving not only my son but our family! Thank You Thank You Thank You Dr. Moran❤️

This facility is very different in very positive ways. My son, 31, with bipolar I disorder has. been at the center for 6 months living in transitional housing is working and handling independance very well. This is real success! This is after trying several other facilities without success. He had never left home and was suffering from mental illness unable to move onto adulthood. Now there he is getting the opportunity for an independent life. Several keys attributes that allow the center to be successful and sets it apart: 1) the program is open-ended in the time a patient remains. They stay until they can function independently. It is not a 30 day program. Patient says until they are well. Very diffent. 2) they treat patients who are only mentally ill. They do not need to be addicts. 3) the program is managed by a real psychiatrist--every aspect, every day in a very personal hands on way. 4) they offer transitional housing to be used by patients in a monitored, professional environment. This a very rare thing. 5) they work with parents to make it affordable. 6) most importantly, in order to keep unwilling, reluctant patients staying at the faculty and get treatment, they work with parents to make sure that patients realize that they can't just walk out and go home without treatment until they are well. They help and teach parents at to be strong enough to handle this separation. A great key difference. 7) they use evidence based treatment strategies. Strategies that work. Be assured that this is one of the only places that can actually accomplish wellness and independence for your love one. I highly recommend this facility. This is the only place that has these attributes. A very rare opportunity to help your love one. If you have issues convincing your love one to enter treatment. Call the center and they will give you ideas on to do this.

I was fortunate enough to spend a month there during my third year of medical school. It was an addictions medicine rotation for me and I was so impressed with the care the patients receive there. I can't speak highly enough about Dr. Moran and the rest of the treatment team. They are extremely passionate and invested in the improvement of everyone who comes to them for treatment. They are always available and constantly communicating about patients...they take their work home with them! Dr. Moran is amazing and has more training, experience and accomplishments than you would ever believe. He was a wonderful teacher and despite being the owner is there everyday working just as hard as everyone else. The facilities are very upscale and soothing. Lots of good CBT and group sessions to be had. They have all levels of treatment so there is no shuffling from place to place and they even have transitional housing which is a big deal. I highly recommend them if you have a loved one that needs treatment for their addiction.

FCFR is one of the best Rehab Treatments so far, has a unique program and run by very professional doctor and staff, they work very hard to help the patients get well and also educates family members to understand how the mental health and addiction effect peoples brain and their behavior. Family Weekends are very educational and beneficial for both patients and families. I highly recommend the place.

This is truly an incredible rehabilitation center. I had the pleasure of completing my psychiatry rotation at Family Center for Recovery during my clinical year of PA school. This facility provides superior patient care for both mental health and substance use disorders. The highly structured program promotes community peer support and accountability to help individuals gain independence with the goal of complete self-sufficiency. Dr. Moran is an exceptional Psychiatrist who cares deeply for his patients. He uses the most up to date evidence-based medicine guidelines and treatment recommendations in order to provide the highest quality of care. The therapists take extreme pride in the care they provide to patients. I would highly recommend FCFR to anyone who is struggling with a mental health or substance use disorder. In fact, one of my loved ones achieved tremendous success here. I cannot than Dr. Moran and the staff at FCFR for all they do each day!

Family Center For Recovery is truly a special place. I am a third year medical student who just completed a four week rotation at this treatment center. From the first day, I could tell that there was great detail put into the structure of this program. Even the finest of details are integrated to help modify reward pathways in the brain and improve impulse control. At this facility, patients are taught to hold themselves as well as each other accountable for their actions. Dr. Moran uses the most current research in treatment of substance use disorders. Based on my experience and hearing from patients who have completed treatment at this program, it is clear that Dr. Moran truly cares for his patients and wants the best for each of them. The rest of the staff are also some of the most pleasant professionals I have gotten to work with since beginning my clinical rotations. Treatment at Family Center For Recovery may not be the easiest experience, but it will be effective if you put your trust into the care of Dr. Moran and staff.

This program is a Rare Gem! The staff and facility are skilled and welcoming. They helped my son heal his mind, body and soul, from drug addiction and mental illness. He is himself again. FCR has staying power. They cared about him and over time, our son was well enough to stand on his own two feet. We traveled across the country to place our son under the care of Dr. Moran and his team of medical and mental health treatment team. Just do it. Save their life. Go to Family Center for Recovery.
