Rising Sun has been instrumental at helping me achieve AND maintain a good sense of self. I feel good about where I live and I enjoy my housemates. If something needs fixed our Manager is quick to get it taken care of. She makes sure that our house stays nice and clean as well as if we think someone is high or drinking she comes straight away and tests them. I like having a roof over my head every day and knowing that I am safe and so is our house.

This was my first experience in a transition/sober living home. Although it was not my intention, I stayed ten months. William was the house manager. It is a very fluid environment as one would expect, but safe and I would like to say clean but then I did a lot of cleaning. You know how guys can be. The staff and house manager at Rising Sun are kind, considerate and quite helpful. They have a difficult job and they do it admirably.

My son stayed in Rising Sun Sober Living for five months, which was the longest he had been sober. They test you randomly for any drugs there, including weed and alcohol. If you come positive, you have to leave. You have an option to stay in a hotel (if you have money to pay) or the homeless shelter till you get sober. You can come back when you test negative. When I talked to my son on a phone, he was positive about people who stayed there. He also told me that quite a few people didn’t make it because they didn’t take it seriously and relapsed. The owner of the Rising Sun Sober Living was very caring and helpful. There is only so much you can do with a person who is an addict. I would recommend this place to anyone who is sick of addiction and wants to have a second chance in life. BTW, there weren’t any bugs in this place. My guess is, most negative reviews are coming from people who relapsed and were kicked out there. If you want to get sober, you have to work for it. This place will provide you with everything you need to be successful.

My name is Kc Clarke I moved in after a relapse that killed me. This experience has been a blessing for me I have built a strong foundation for my recovery and made some strong friendships. I am so grateful for the help I was given they provided a safe and secure place for me to start getting well. When I was financially struggling they worked with me. I think that anybody struggling with escaping the old life of addiction and destruction should look into staying in a place like this. That will help start you on your way to being a healthy individual that ppl would want in there lives

I have been happy to work for Rising Sun Sober Living for almost seven years. I have watched it grow from a few houses to the largest sober living housing provider in the state, and perhaps even in the country. The mission of this company has always been to give people in recovery the opportunity to adjust to living, working, and attending AA meetings while living in a clean and sober environment surrounded by supportive people in recovery. I have seen problems solved with one thing in mind, the health and wellbeing of the house and its guests. No one individual is allowed to spoil the recovery efforts of those who choose to stay sober. When people have not been able to keep the rules that living in sobriety requires, they are asked to move on. This is always done with respect and courtesy. And, then in most cases they are given the message that they may be welcomed back if they choose to try sobriety again. Because of the dedication of the owners along with the house managers this company is a great asset to Idaho.

Rising Sun Sober Living was a key to my recovery. It provided myself with the structure and accountability that I was in desperate need of early in my recovery. I eventually transitioned back home to my wife and kids. Later, the Rising Sun hired me as a house manager. Helping others is a big part of my recovery. Because of this, I truly love my job. It is an awesome experience helping others get back the accountability and structure that they need in their lives. I recommend the Rising Sun Sober Living Program to anyone that is in need of this type of structured living. John G. House Manager

Rising Sun has saved my life. When I came to Rising Sun over two and a half years ago, I was homeless, hopeless, desperate and suicidal. I was clean and sober for 28 years, went back out(way out) for two days, by the grace of God went to a meeting and raised my hand as a New Comer. After this I found Ring Sun, applied, and was accepted for housing. Rising Sun gave me the accountability I needed as well as a clean, safe home, and the clean and sober environment I needed. In November of 2015, I was offered a managers position with Rising Sun in Lewiston Idaho. I accepted the position and have been a member of the Rising Sun Team ever since and, have remained clean and sober. Rising Sun has my undying gratitude. If you need accountability, stability and to know that you have entrusted yourself to a team that truly cares, come to Rising Sun.

I lived in one of Rising Sun's men's houses for about 8 months. And now I manage three of their houses. Rising Sun gave me the opportunity in early recovery to have the stability and safety I needed to get a good foundation under me. They always addressed any needs or concerns I had about either the facilities or other guests, and as a manager now, I do the same for the current guests. Their system provides a structure of basic accountability and personal responsibility without at all restricting a person's ability to thrive in whatever recovery-related direction they choose. I'm very grateful their services were available for me when I needed them, and also honored to be a part of their team and to be able to help others in recovery.
