Like many "great" mental health centers in the Northshore, compass refuses to take medicaid. By doing this they discriminate against a whole population of people. They have alot of staff and resources, that they could easily take medicaid and offer services to poor people. But they dont. I once did the day program. The therapists for the PHP and IOP young adult programs were great. Dr Gotta could be difficult, and gave bad referrals to other mental health places that werent safe or good. I told her I didnt like that place and she kept pushing it. I wish compass wasnt run by Psychiatrists dr Schreiber and Welke. Welke gets easily offended by patients, and the reaction is not good. Had a bad experience at one point. Had a bad reaction, side effects from meds became severe. Called up the office and the secretaries were rude and yelled at me, as if the doctor told them about me. Couldnt get through to someone to ask them for advice or what to do. Finally got through to a nurse, but I suffered. Also it was scary because the doors would lock, and the psychiatrist would have to get the keys. Once had a panic attack and she chased after me and I got scared and the doors were locked. The psychiatrists were like judgmental. I also heard scary stories that dr Schreiber had called the police on some kid. Compass does have some good resources though if you ask them.

Honestly, this place saved my life. I definitely do not think I'd be here if it wasn't for the treatment I received and the staff for all of the support. I've never been to any type of outpatient program (and have not been to many therapists) and I had no idea what to expect. The people I was put in groups with were outstanding. They were extremely friendly and non judgemental. It was so nice to be around people going through similar situations. Just learning the fact that I was not alone, and that there IS hope for my future was groundbreaking for me. If you struggle with mental health issues, please please consider Compass for your treatment plan. I would recommend this place to everyone I know. They will support you and be with you every step of the way through your journey to recovery. 10/10 for compass. If I could give a higher review, I would.

Great place, great staff, though they should really hange the policy for no exchanging numbers as I met the love of my life while there, things going great, but seriously... that policy needs to change. ASAP

Simply put: their miraculous staff saved my life. Comparing this system and staff to competitors is ridiculous due to the life-changing, indescribably brilliant treatment. If there were Compass tee shirts, I'd buy one, make that multiple. Staff is tremendously caring and second to none. Disregard disenchanted employees/former neighboring businesses - this is the real deal. If you're looking for premium quality, stop looking. It's here.

Had a great experience with staff here. Honestly I had almost given up on mental health therapy because of mediocre and below experience but Dr Lowden, the front desk staff and Deanna were all great here. Was a part of the program from May to August. Hugely helpful in a crucial time of my mental health. Young adult / college group was great. Didn't feel like a "clique"y high-school setting, became really comfortable coming here and sharing. They even let me bring my piano in to perform for others / the staff here! I will say, however, don't be too consumed by the terminology and catch-phrases / mantra they use here. I think in the end, your mental health will be greatly sharpened by your own understanding of yourself, how to deal with your shortcomings, and processing life as it comes for yourself. The teachings here can help, but ultimately and hopefully you leave with influence of what you feel will be most beneficial to your progress in life, not simply what others may say.
