I am 16 years old and I've been a client of Step by Step for 6 years. Anytime, I begin to feel like I am losing it, I can always call the office and someone will listen and work me through my emotions. When my brother was killed, they were with me and my family every step of the way. After my brother died I kept getting in trouble at school. Step by Step staff came to the school and explained the situation to my administrator and gave them suggestions on how to help me calm down even telling them they could call them and they would talk me through it. Step by Step is more like family than an agency. I went from getting suspended monthly to not having been suspended at all this school year thanks to Step by Step and their staff.
