This was one of my first contacts with the VA medical system. I eventually has my surgery through the orthopedic unit here. The surgery was successful, but the recovery was super difficult. The doctors I've had were decent. I had one negative encounter with a receptionist who was extremely rude to me when I asked her to guide me to the seating area for my appointment to wait. My doctor was a part of the shock trauma team across the street. He did great job keeping me updated on the procedures and surgery. The store was not very impressive as other locations I've been. The pharmacy process was reasonably adequate for pickup at this location. There is underground parking for patients that was accessible.

I love the VA hospital cafeteria for 2 big reasons: 1) Very tasty fried chicken & 2) I enjoy eating lunch around all the veterans and VA staff - just a great group of people.

Ms. Faye in radiology is the best!! I was upset about the lack of parking at the Saratoga garage and started to go home. I called and asked Ms. Faye in radiology to reschedule my mammogram. I told her I was upset and had a headache and was going home. She told me I should take some deep breaths and if I come in now, she would take me in right away. She gave me advice on where to find other parking. I followed her advice and found parking around the corner, walked in and she was waiting for me at the desk! She has a very pleasant disposition and really care about her patients. I realize why I still keep coming to the VA for care. Agopy love from Ms. Faye. Keep doing what you do!!!

Kudos to Faye Hamilton-Dixon from Radiology. Very professional and kindness that shows. Most of the time I get anxious coming to VA but she made me feel at ease during procedure.

Dear Brothers and Sisters. Remember all the sitting and waiting, and waiting, and waiting and being treated like a "thing" where ever you were? This Med Cntr ain't that place!!! nor are the local CntrLs. ALL of the working people from the janitor to the Specialist Dr.'s to the parking attendents, and all between have always been kind and respectfull. The building and facilities are always clean or attended to quickly if need be. I have nothing but praise for the good people and facilities of the MD VA health care sys.
