City Health Centers are extremely helpful to the community. They are low-cost clinics - insurance is not needed. HC 4 offers many services such as Prenatal Care, Family Planning (birth control), Gyn, Pediatrics, Adult Medicine, and Dental. They have their own ON-SITE lab, pharmacy, and mammogram/xray department that can be utilized by their patients. If you know someone who is struggling (with or without insurance) to afford medical care - please suggest a city health center. A lot of Philadelphians do not know about their services. Spread the word! NOTE: In order to be seen at the health center you need to have proof of Philadelphia residency (bill, ID, etc.). Also, walk-in clinic is contingent on the availability of a doctor. Health center 4 is not a ready care/minute clinic, but they do have walk-in clinic (first come, first serve) when a doctor is available.

Very friendly staff. These guys helped me square away a mistake done by the insurance provider and I was helped the same day without much delay. I highly recommend coming here for physicals or other examinations. The atmosphere is also very calming because it does not look like a clinic. It looks more like your going to do yoga. Kevin and Edwards are the best! Manuk Chulyan is the man! Thank you!

Review of my Philadelphia VA Hospital experience I am A traveling vet heading to Newark, NJ and then on to Philadelphia, PA. When I realized I had left my insulin at one of my stops along the way. I contacted the Philadelphia VA hospital asking if they could give me enough insulin to get back to my home in Michigan. Their reply was very positive and advised me that I would be accommodated. My immediate impression of the facility upon arrival was very positive. The first person I interacted with couldn't have been more pleasant. She directed me to the emergency room where I was immediately registered as a traveling vet and escorted into a room for vitals and to await my visit with a doctor. Both the triage nurse and the doctor were pleasant and accommodated my needs in a timely fashion. I was supplied with authorization to receive my insulin from the pharmacy. I then proceeded to pharmacy and was greeted by a friendly pharmacy tech who quickly expedited my prescription. In total, the entire time spent at the hospital spanned a whopping 30 minutes. In summary, I would Rate my experience with full stars and based on my experience, would recommend the Philadelphia VA to any traveling vet with similar needs as mine. Thank you, thank you thank you dr's and staff of the Philadelphia VA for making my experience so pleasant.

I changed my primary care from my PPO at my job to the VA last year. So far I ahve not had a bad experience. If anything, last year when I was switching everything over they called me to much. I had to use Veteran Choice for one of my appointments and that went smooth also. I ahve started my yearly physical for 2017 this past Monday (15 MAy) I called on 2 May and got y first appointment on 15 May. They made another appointment for me on Jun 9. They offererd my June 2 but I had plans that day. So as I move through this medical maze with VA being my main hospital I will continiue to post to give my honest account of how things go with making appointments and how the appointments are handled.

My son was diagnosed with green stick fracture at Mercy Suburban E.R. and they had the sense to send us to Chop for care, when we arrived at Chop they said this type of fracture was not possible as my son is 16, he is too old to get this type of fracture, actual diagnoses was buckle fracture. Chop docs are best!

The Children's Hospital is a top notch facility for diagnosis and treatment. After visiting 4 other places over a two month period with no luck we finally came to CHOP and had a diagnosis in under 5 minutes. Truely amazing

Care in the surgical centers, medical offices, canteen, hospital stays, physical therapy, e.r., housekeepers, Are absolutely fabulous and should be recognized for all that they do!!!!!! I've had 3 surgeries and working on my fourth, every time has been fantastic!!!!! I love my VA! This facility deserves 5 star!

I signed my son up for the Saturday 10:30 am class. On Nov. 1, the facility was closed and no one answered the phone. I was never contacted with a schedule change or class cancellation. Update: The Manager contacted me timely and everything was resolved quickly and satisfactorily. The gym is on Percy Street. There is definitely confusion as to the location of the gym. My husband and I did not see any sign on the door; I had to search the website for the Percy St. address, and the web search engines provide the 9th St. address. We are looking forward to trying out the gym! Update: Great instructors, equipment and classes! Love it!

Is there a reason why no one answers the phone number listed? I've left 2 messages and have not received a call back. I'm looking for a gym and daycare for my 5 month old. I used to take kids I nannied for a few years ago and it was great! It would be a bummer if I can't get in contact with anyone.
