My clean date is August 14, 2017! Whoop whoop! I am extremely proud of this date, Meth is a motherf***er. And Homeward Bound helped me get on the road to recovery, which seemed impossible before that date. The staff was awesome, the experience was necessary, including the parts that seemed like bulls**t to me at the time. I can go on and on and on about how every activity they have in place is necessary. I am very thankful to God, my family, and Homeward Bound. Even though I didn't believe in myself for a long time... I am now 9 months clean, working in the medical field, I have my kids back, I'm getting married to the father of my children next fall, we have our own place our own cars and we go on vacations! Our relationship is the strongest it's ever been. The reason I'm sharing so much info is because I remember reading these reviews before I went to Homeward Bound and I feel like this is all of the things I prayed for, but didn't truly believe it would happen and it did happen. And it's awesome! So I hope this helps! God bless!

This place is great. Extremely clean tons of parking. The staff is delightful and very helpful. I really love the way they make sure that everything was okay during this five-day time of pure hell. If you're going to detox in Dallas and really want to stay clean these people not only detox you to a point where you need no more narcotics, they also provide resources for aftercare also after your stay.

Great place to detox and also fun place to do community service. Actually you can do both at the same time.

I came here in 2009 to get sober. It definitely wasn’t as bad as some are saying but it definitely wasn’t a 5 star hotel. That being said I have not even looked at or wanted my doc since June 2009. I want to thank you guys for giving me the strength to obtain sobriety and maintain it and give me the skills I needed in order to do so. I also want to than you for giving me my life back. Almost 9 years that I have been sober and I owe it to this place. Thank you Homeward Bound!

This place is incredible. Has given many people I know their lives back. The city needs to allocate more funds for its facility and services though. Staff is great, counselors are PHENOMENAL, and every person I spoke to, including the doctor downstairs were so kind, down to earth and some of the most non-judgmental people I've spoken with when it comes to addiction!

I absolutely love this place, what it stands for, and all the "character" Homeward Bound possesses. What it lacks from the actual facility, it more than makes up for it with an immovable loving staff. And i love how they never lose sight of the ultimate goal... A FOREVER RECOVERY!!! My clean date is January 7, 2015 Thank you Homeward Bound!!!

A place where you can trust your loved one will be helped. She told me how they offer great classes and are very understanding of what the patients are going through. Great program, free of charge.

The workers are often in recovery, understand and are compassionate. They are what makes homeward bounds heart beat. Staff are there because they care, want to make a difference and live a life of recovery; living self directed and goal oriented lives!

I love this place, I have been twice. It been a few years. But I loved the staff. At the time I could not swallow pills. And they were not to rude toward me. I would love to go back. But not sure how my family would react. So I say nothing to them about anything about myself

I have been to this facility about 18 months ago. I at the time was not pleased with all the classes during the day, heck I was just coming in from running the streets like a mad person. I felt what I needed was rest. Today how ever I understand the reasoning behind all the classes, they helped save my butt from falling off. The staff was absolutely wonderful. The beds were so much more comfortable than the ones in a jail cell, and the cooks had it going down in the kitchen. This place is not ment to be a vacation, so if that's what you really looking for I would suggest elsewhere.

I have been to homeward bound like twice already. And let me tell you, the food is good, the counselors in detox are pretty laid back especially Charles, he's really kind and understanding. I'm going back today because sadly I got back on drugs so this time i go, I'm really gonna stay away from drugs. Its either rehab or 10 years in prison so ide rather do rehab. But both times were a good experience. 👍

It saved my son's life. Not the hilton but what he needed

I just got discharged today, place is filthy, detox is a joke, all the techs and nurses are black and ghetto, trying to start drama and run things. People were sick in there and couldn't see the doctor. To many groups all day and not enough break. I was smart and got on subuxone there which made the days easier , it made me feel better I will give them that they helped in that. The food is nasty though gies you bad gas. It's honestly like jail but you can smoke and walk around in men's unit. Grown men call each other cellies and fart on each other
