START Treatment and Recovery Centers - East New York Information

StartCare is a New York, NY-based organization that helps people (18 and up) with opioid use disorder (OUD). People who are trying to get better can use a wide range of services at the center. StartCare is dedicated to providing culturally appropriate care to a wide range of individuals and is not limited to gender-specific or faith-based programs; instead, it focuses on being open to everyone.

The center has several programs, such as an Intensive Outpatient Program (REACH), vocational counseling, mental health services, and telehealth choices. Methadone and buprenorphine are used to treat opioid addiction. Medication for Opioid Use Disorder (MOUD), individual and group therapy, skill-building groups, and harm reduction techniques like overdose prevention training are some of the ways that StartCare treats people. The facility, which was started by BIPOC leaders, looks at health from all angles by including social determinants of health in its care model. This way, it can provide individualized support for people who have more than one mental health condition. The Joint Commission has approved StartCare, which means they will follow high standards for care and safety.
