Onsite Workshops

Onsite Workshops, situated in Cumberland Furnace, Tennessee, offers a comprehensive approach to social healing for mental and behavioral health disorders. This esteemed facility provides a range of programs, including inpatient and intensive outpatient care, as well as aftercare services tailored for young adults and adults, with specialized offerings for men.

The residential program at Onsite Workshops immerses clients in individual and group therapy sessions, enhanced by holistic treatments aimed at improving mental health. This program includes trauma care and life skills development, allowing participants to engage in equine therapy, outdoor recreation, and gym exercise. Accommodations are shared with one or two roommates, and meals are included, ensuring a supportive and communal living environment. Typically, the residential treatment spans one week, providing an intensive and focused healing experience.

The intensive outpatient program (IOP) at Onsite Workshops extends support through counseling and peer support programs. Utilizing therapeutic approaches such as dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), experiential therapy, eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), and psychotherapy, the IOP aims to foster emotional wellness. For families with children under 12, there may be opportunities to stay with the clients during the IOP, integrating familial support into the treatment process.

Continual support for alumni is a cornerstone of Onsite Workshops' offerings, including referrals to external treatment facilities if necessary. This ensures that clients have ongoing access to care and support even after completing their initial program.

Financial options at Onsite Workshops include self-pay and financing. However, it is important to note that insurance from providers such as Aetna, Beacon, BlueCross/BlueShield, Cigna, Humana, and Optum is not accepted. Clients are advised to verify coverage and out-of-network benefits with their insurance providers.

The philosophy at Onsite Workshops is anchored in the belief that everyone has the capacity to heal and grow when provided with the right tools, support, and environment. They emphasize the importance of creating a space where individuals can transform and thrive, advocating that everyone deserves to live well and that together, this reality can be achieved.

Common Questions About Rehab

In Tennessee, residents can access outpatient clinics in major cities like Nashville, Knoxville, and Memphis, residential rehabs in smaller Appalachian communities, and detox programs through regional hospital networks. Access via I-40, I-65, and I-75 helps families choose convenient options. Touring programs across urban and rural settings helps compare levels of care.
Outpatient rehab is typically more affordable and works for commuters and students, while inpatient programs in scenic rural areas or historic estates cost more for lodging and extended therapy. Some facilities provide scholarships or sliding-scale rates.
Most Tennessee rehab centers accept private insurance and TennCare, with staff helping verify benefits and pre-authorizations.
Dual diagnosis programs treat addiction alongside PTSD, depression, or chronic pain—issues often tied to high-stress industries or rural healthcare gaps. These programs cost more but are usually partly covered.
