Family Counseling Center
Overview
Based on the family systems model of treatment, FCC Behavioral Health–Women and Children’s Program is an integrated addiction rehabilitation facility in Cape Girardeau, Maryland. The center offers a wide variety of inpatient, outpatient, and aftercare programs and specializes in dual diagnosis treatment and medically supervised detoxification. With an emphasis on women and children in particular, these programs are designed to help the rehabilitation of individuals while attending to the larger needs of families.
At FCC Behavioral Health, detoxing patients get 24-hour medical care to ensure their safety and comfort during the withdrawal process. FDA-approved drugs are used as part of the program to treat withdrawal symptoms and avoid problems, giving patients a solid platform for long-term recovery.
The inpatient program provides a quiet, cozy environment where patients may concentrate on their healing. The therapy strategy incorporates 12-step-focused individual, group, and family counseling with a trauma-informed approach. The intricacies of addiction and co-occurring mental health disorders are addressed via the use of evidence-based techniques including motivational interviewing and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). Clients get intensive life skills training in addition to therapy treatments, encompassing topics like relapse prevention, self-care, nutrition, stress and anger management, coping strategies, and wellbeing. The health and wellness of the complete family system is emphasized by the specific services provided to women and children. These services include parenting classes and access to social, physical, and mental health resources for mothers and their offspring.
The aftercare and outpatient programs offered by FCC Behavioral Health are designed to promote long-term rehabilitation by offering a continuum of treatment that changes to meet the requirements of each client as they arise. The effective reintegration into the community, family, school, and workplace is the goal of these services, which also include intensive outpatient (IOP), outpatient, and aftercare programs.
FCC Behavioral Health is a recognized community behavioral health agency that operates as a private, non-profit, and supports people of all races, creeds, genders, sexual orientations, and disabilities throughout 19 counties in Southeast Missouri. In addition to treating mental health and drug use disorders, the organization provides veteran's services, peer support, psychiatry, crisis intervention, individual and family therapy, and other programs that encourage recovery and wellbeing. Working together with families, educational institutions, healthcare providers, and other networks guarantees that every customer gets a customized plan that fits their specific requirements.
