Coleman Health Services

With its headquarters in Canton, Ohio, Coleman Professional Services-Stark County provides a wide variety of mental health services, including specialized treatment and rehabilitation programs for drug use disorders. Coleman offers programs that address the requirements of those looking for assistance with mental health and addiction treatment, with a heavy emphasis on individualized care. The facility provides accessible treatment for a variety of clientele by accepting Medicaid, Medicare, and TRICARE.

Coleman's intensive outpatient program (IOP), which provides organized assistance for those in recovery, is one of its primary programs. These nine-hour weekly therapy groups include a combination of case management, education, and counseling. Clients may address the underlying reasons of their drug use while developing critical skills for long-term recovery in this organized manner.

After achieving their recovery objectives, participants go on to the continuous support program, which provides resources to sustain their improvement. In addition to providing essential job assistance, this program has a weekly aftercare group that meets twice a week to give ongoing counseling and community support.

Named after Father Kevin Coleman, a fervent supporter of mental health and community well-being, Coleman Health Services was founded in 1978 as a nonprofit community behavioral health organization in Portage County. Coleman has developed into a nationally renowned nonprofit organization throughout the years, serving more than 40 Ohio counties and the surrounding areas.
