Overview
Founded in 1957, Santa Maria Hostel - Bonita House is located in Houston, Texas, and provides comprehensive residential and outpatient treatment for women, including specialized care for pregnant women and mothers with children. The facility offers two primary residential treatment programs: intensive residential treatment and supportive residential treatment.
In the intensive residential treatment program, women participate in a variety of sessions, including parenting education, life skills training, and relapse prevention, for a total of 30 hours per week. This program is designed to provide robust support and education to facilitate recovery and personal growth.
The supportive residential treatment program requires women to participate in at least 10 hours of group sessions per week. This structure allows residents the flexibility to seek additional support groups and pursue employment opportunities.
Santa Maria Hostel also offers a range of additional services, including individual and group counseling, life skills training, and parenting classes. Specialized programs such as BAMBI (Baby and Mother Bonding Initiative), Caring for Two, prevention services, and transitional housing are also available to support women in their recovery journey and help them build stable, healthy lives for themselves and their families.
