The Life House - Volunteers of America Information

The Life House Center, located in Sheridan, Wyoming, is a residential substance abuse treatment facility that assists adult males in their recovery journey. The facility provides a planned and intense program in which participants participate in 30 hours of activities per week, all aimed to promote healing and personal growth. At The Life House Center, each client is given a unique treatment plan that is suited to their specific needs. This plan includes weekly one-on-one counseling sessions, providing individualized attention and support. The program also includes group sessions that cover topics such as chemical dependency, life story sharing, parenting, and trauma healing. These group interactions promote a sense of community and mutual support among clients. The Life House Center's treatment approach is broad, including a number of evidence-based techniques. Clients attend 12-Step meetings and get motivational interviewing, solution-focused therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT).
