When I arrived at Affordable Recovery I was at the bottom. My family wanted nothing to do with me. I had no job, no place to sleep, nothing to eat even. Affordable provided all of those things to me in exchange I had to choose to change my life and way of thinking. Not a bad deal. Now I have a great job, my own place, car, money, and let's not forget the best thing of all. I have a new way of life. I arrived at Affordable on 4/21/2016. Not even a year later and I have accomplished all of these great things. And just today I got off of court supervision for a dui I got 4 years ago! I am truly blessed today and it's all due to Mary Jo and John Dunleavy. Thank you for betting on me when no one else would. Thank you for giving me the tools to love myself again. Anyone who wants recovery can find it at your Foundation

Recovery is possible! You have to have the willingness to change when you are sick and tired , hit rock bottom, and just don't want to live like that anymore. When I arrived at Affordable Recovery Housing I knew I would do whatever ever it took to change my life and stay sober. I always struggled with authority, guidance, and being told what to do, and addiction. Affordable Recovery Housing taught me to change my way of thinking, coping skills, and encouraged me that I am worth it. I have been to numerous detox places, treatment centers through out my whole and none of them let you work and and put you back into society. Affordable Recovery Housing safely transports you so you can work. They teach you how to juggle everyday work life, save money, and balance meetings. Affordable Recovery has a great meeting just for women. All the women met with Mary Jo once a week we went over a step from a book " A women's way through the twelve steps" and had a discussion. Mary Jo would make all the women check in to let her know how we were all doing . We could talk about anything bothering us too. Mary Jo treats everyone equally. She is a very caring and loving person. I miss Affordable Recovery Housing and the staff. The staff at Affordable treat you like family and understand what you have been through and experienced because they all have struggled with addiction and are all recovering from the disease of addiction. I just want to say thank you to Mary Jo and John Dunleavy and all the staff at Affordable Recovery Housing. Recovery is possible I am going on 11 months of sobriety.

I can not say enough about this place. I walked in for the first time as a punk 18 year old kid with an attitude and these people worked with me and Treated me like family even when I rebelled. They gave me an opportunity to recover and work in myself, I can say affordable recovery housing is not for everyone but for me it was the miracle I needed. I love this place.
