The changes that they will make here will be for the better, and in many cases, may even save their lives. We believe in treating all addictions, as well as underlying psychological disorders that may have contributed to the birth of the addiction. We strive to show our patients that they can live a life filled with happiness and fulfilment without the use of drugs or alcohol. We make it a goal to provide our patients with the tools necessary to cope with their newfound life of sobriety. We never know what life will throw at us, and it is up to the patient to deal with any given situation without resorting to substance abuse. I was beyond broken. Spent waaaaaaaay too many years out drugging and drinking. Knew a friend who had a friend who started the recovery process at Talbot. I made the call and my friend drove me there. Was literaly shaking as I walked in the door. Was met with a warm hug and had my meager belongings taken as I checked in. The process took a couple of hours. I went to my bed and all my clothes had been washed dried and folded on my bed............Then had a warm homemade meal and began the process of becoming a functioning human being again. For decades I had my own higher power. I did everything in my power to get high.............From Talbot I went to CK Post and now in transition housing. Hit the 7 month clean mark this month. You are not going to hit rock bottom till you put down the damm shovel and stop digging! IT CAN BE DONE! Thanks all the staff of Talbot

I may owe my life to the fact that they were there when I had no where else to turn; often the case when alcoholism/addiction has got a hold of your life. All kindness with rules...just what I needed..... 3 years later and the above words are insufficient to describe my gratitude. Thank You. Jeff
