I attended this program 10 years ago at a very troubled time in my life. My parents forced me to go and i did not want to. Being in the wilderness and snow for a good chunk of time really helped save my life at that point. We learned how to cook for our selfs, make shelter for ourselves and basically fend for ourselves to become self supporting adults. The hiking was very difficult but as far as me and the other kids there we needed a lot of structure and to be pushed to do things that were out of our comfort zones. I did attend another program afterwards an that one was just as helpful though less physically hard. I enjoyed the wilderness and felt a sense of accomplishment upon leaving the woods. The one on one and group therapy sessions proved to be very effective for me. I remember doing a 3-4 day vision quest out there where i was alone an could not leave a marked area until the days were complete. I really did get a lot of good out of this program and highly recommend it to parents who have exhausted all other means of hope for their children to get their lives on track. Hope this helps someone. -Chris
